Health Service Obstructed Due to Lack of Health Workers
Health services in a district have been severely affected due to the lack of health workers in almost all health organisations. The problem is due to the vacant posts in most of the health organisations.
In the district, there is one hospital, three Primary Health Centres. The posts of the health workers remains vacate and patients are deprived of their right to health.
In district health office of Bhojpur, 140 posts are vacant for health personnel. Similarly 11 posts at Primary Health Centre are vacant. Out of 387 posts 170 are vacant according to chief doctor Nawal Kishore Jha of District Health Office Bhojpur.
In Bhojpur, new hospital with 50 beds is being built. A temporary 16 beds hospital is in operation after the building was damaged by earthquake.
