Girl sustained serious eye injury in a police baton charge
The victim’s family of 15 years old girl Muni Paswan said that she sustained a serious injury in one of eyes in a police baton charge.
The victim sustained injury on her left eye on January 21 after a policeman Deepndra Jha of Area Police Office charged baton according to the victim’s father Bhushan Paswan. The accused absconded the scene instead of taking victim to the hospital.
The victim was later rushed to the Narayani sub-regional hospital and was referred to Kedia Eye Hospital according to Bhushan.
DSP Rajan Limbu of DPO said that Jha has been summoned to the office for necessary action. The accused said that the incident was accident rather than intentional.
