Girl rescued from being married
A 15 years old girl of Benighat Rorang village council-10 has been rescued from the marriage site in an initiation of Paurakhi Women Cooperatives of Jogimara on April21 while she was getting married.
The girl was rescued and sent to District Child welfare committee after the police post of Jogimara was informed about the marriage according to Hari Maya Thakuri of the cooperatives.
The girl was given shelter at child home according to Distrcit Child welfare committee officer Hari Uprety.
Under age marriage is against the law and the family were given counseling about it.
