Girl rescued during child marriage
A child marriage between 17 years old Prakash Pariyar of Madhuban Municipality-4 and 16 years old Sonal Pariyar of Bheriganga Municipality-8 was stopped by the police on November 18.
A team of police from Area Police Office of Dhodari reached the marriage venue and intervened the marriage and recued the girl.
Police received the information of child marriage and reached the site immediately according to inspector Sujit Kumar Ojha. The girl was rescued from the marriage quadrangle and was handed over to the family member according to the police.
People involved in the marriage will be taken action as per the law according to the police inspector Ojha. He added that stopping the marriage is an important part.
