Taking Statement from Ganga Maya, Begins

The District Court of Chitwan has begin to take Ganga Maya’s statement from September 18 who has been staging hunger strike from time to time demanding the justice against the murder of their son. The District Court Shrestedar Gehendra Panta and Nayab Subba (NASU) Narayan Prasad Sedai of Chitwan have started to take her statement in Kathmandu. The process of taking statement lasted for 2 and half hours and Ganga Maya have taken 13 names of accused during the statement taking process according to advocate Ashik Ram Karki.

The District Court of Chitwan had ordered on September 11 to record Ganga Maya’s statement regarding the murder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari. Ganga Maya had ended her indefinite hunger strike on September  12 after the District Court of Chitwan had ordered to record her statement along with the counseling from Human Rights activists.

The statement was taken by Shrestedar and Nasu from Chitwan District Court as per the order by a single bench of District court judge Tek Narayan Kunwar,
