Four VDCs of Bajhang Hit With Food Crisis
The four VDCs Rilu, Kanda, Dhamena and Melbisauna of the district has been hit with a food crisis due to a shortage of rice in food depot at Melbisauna VDC.
The consumers who came to buy rice are compelled to go empty handed as Food Corporation failed to send rice at Melbisauna food depot.
The news was made public about Bangladeshi rice dumped in the go-down of food corporation at the same time when a remote VDC of the district has been hit with food crisis.
“There is a possibility of starvation in these area”said Harina B.K of Melbisauna VDC. She added that government must give immediate relief to its people.
Ishwor Datta Pandey chief of Food Corporation said that initiation has been taken to fulfill the demand of food. The food will be supplied immediately after getting the stock, he said.
