Four Months Imprisonment For Caste Discrimination
District Court Jumla has sentenced Nabin Budha, Sija Rural Municipality -3, to four months imprisonment, a fine of Rs.20,000 fine, and compensation to the victim of Rs.25000, on June 1, 2023, of the crime of practicing caste discrimination.
Kali Bahadur Budha, former Ward Chairperson, was acquitted, whereas his son Nabin Budha, was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and a fine under the bench of Judge Bishnu Prasad Gautam, District Court.
A complaint was filed against Kali Bahadur Budha,55, and Nabin Budha,32, at the District Police Office Jumla on July 9, 2021.
Then Ward Chairperson Kali Bahadur Budha, commited the crime on June 20, 2021 and Nabin Buddha, on June 22, 2021.
