Four Members of Same Family Fatally Buried in Landslide
The occurrence of natural disasters has increased in Koshi Province as the monsoon has begun. Four members of the same family have lost their lives due to a landslide in Phaktanglung Rural municipality-4.
The landslide that took place on the night of 31 June after continuous rain killed 71-year-old Ram Bahadur Samra, 67-year-old Jasamaya Liwang Samra and nine-year-old twin girls Ganga and Jamuna Samra of Phaktanglung Rural Municipality.
It is reported that the deceased are the family of Rabin Samra Limbu, the Vice-chairperson of Phaktanglung Rural Municipality. DSP Ravi Rawal of the District Police Office reported that they have started the process of retrieving the bodies of the landslide victims.
