Due to the increased risk of landslides caused by heavy rain, 42 families from Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-5, Lower Chipla, have taken shelter under tarpaulins. In Garigaon, Lower Chipla, cracks in the land and recent landslides have caused residents to move to safer places. They have set up tarpaulins for temporary shelters due to the risk of more landslides. Babita Ghale, a local resident, reported that since July 28, 42 families have relocated to Dandagaon near the Rural Municipality and are living under tarpaulins after the rain on July 27 caused cracks on the land , increasing the risk of landslides.

Ghanshyam Ghale, Ward Chairperson of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-5, stated that 15-20 meters of erosion has occurred approximately 150 meters above the settlement area, increasing the risk of landslides in dozens of areas. The Rural Municipality, located in a high-risk landslide area, has provided locals with 25 tarpaulins. Additionally, 4 tarpaulins were provided by the District Administration Office, and 10 by the Nepal Red Cross Society.
