Flood Victim Peasant did not get compensation
The flood victims of 17 VDCs of the district did not get any compensation or relief from the state. The peasant suffered loss of their crops due to the devastating flood last year.
The agriculture office of the district said that due to the flood the crops in, Kharkada, Datta, Shankarpur, Malikarjun, Bhagwati, Gwani, Lali, Dandakot, Uku, Hunainath, Sarmauli, Gokuleshwor, Dethala, Rithachaupata, Shikhar and Boharigaun VDCs have been destroyed.
Kamal Singh Bohara of Rithachaupata said that they could not get any relief from the state even after one year from the destruction. He added that even agriculture office did not take interest on their problem.
Due to the flood crops of 117. 5 hector lands were destroyed. At least 877 families were affected by the destruction. There was huge loss of 9.8 million according to Agriculture development office.
