Five Years Sentence to Rapist
The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence Lal Bahadur Bohara,33 of Jang VDC-7 for five years after finding him guilty on raping an 18-years-old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Churaman Khadka has given a verdict on August 9. The court has also ordered to compensate Rs 15,000 to the victim.
The victim was raped by the accused in pretext of marrying her. A complaint against the accused was a lodged at Area Police Office of Tulsipur on June 20.
Area Police Office of Tulsipur had arrested the accused on June 20 and registered complaint at District Court. The victim underwent a health check up at Rapti Zonal Hospital in Tulsipur on June 20.
