Lokesh Shahi, 8, of Chauganphaya in Simkot Rural Municipality-7 suffered from epilepsy immediately after three months of his birth. He has finally received financial assistance and a disability identity card for his treatment.

After the Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC)’s initiative and constant effort, the Simkot Rural Municipality has provided NRs. 5,000 to the child on June 24, 2021. He also received a full-disability identity card on July 4.

Bhakta Bahadur Shahi, the victim’s father, has expressed his happiness and thanked INSEC for the initiative after which his son received financial aid and a disability identity card. He shared that previously his son had not got any services from the government.

Shahi had requested the INSEC representative on June 5 to make a disability identity card and provide financial assistance for his son. The INSEC representative had requested the Simkot rural municipality for the financial assistance and disability identity card on June 6.

Bali Rawat, Deputy Chairperson of the Rural Municipality, said they were informed about the patient by INSEC and the rural municipality has provided all possible assistance.
