Father of the Candidate for Ward Chairperson Attacked by Unidentified Group
An unidentified group has attacked Chandra Narayan Yadav, 72, father of CPN-Maoist Central Committee candidate Sarvadev Yadav from Kamala Municipality-1 Mangara. He was attacked and wounded with a sharp weapon.
According to Surendra Yadav, a local leader of the CPN-Maoist, a group of about 10 people attacked him on May 4 at around 12:30 pm with a plan of assassinating the ward chairperson candidate Sarvadev Yadav. In the scuffle, Sarvadev’s father was brutally injured.
Chandra Narayan Yadav, the father of Sarvadev Yadav, who was sleeping on the balcony outside the house, was attacked with a sharp weapon by a group of masked men. The perpetrators were covered in masks and were not identified.
Yadav sustained injuries in the eyes, head, chest and other parts of his body. The injured Yadav is undergoing treatment at Janakpur Provincial Hospital.
The incident is being investigated and those involved in the incident are being searched, said SP Basant Rajaure of District Police Office, Dhanusha.
