Father-in-law arrested on charge of attempting murder
Police have rescued 22 years old Sanju Devi Shah of Dhobini Rural Municipality-3, Haripur and her nine months old daughter Riya Shah while they were being burnt on June 15.
The victim accused her father in law Laxmi Prasad Shah of attempting to murder her by sprinkling kerosene over a domestic dispute.
The health condition of both victims is very critical and they were referred to Kathmandu by Narayani Sub-regional hospital. Parsa Police said that they are receiving treatment at Burning Centre in Kritipur.
The preliminary investigation and the victim’s statement has confirmed that they were attempting to murder by her father in law by sprinkling kerosene and setting fire over their body however father in law denied that allegation and said that she attempted to suicide.
However, police have arrested father in law and brother in-law for the investigation.
