Family of Disappeared People Honored In Their Home

On the occasion of International day against enforced disappearance, INSEC, Human Rights Network and organization active in this area have honored the family of disappeared people in their home on August 30.

Coordinator Keshav Kumar Sharma of Human Rights Network of Dang said that the honor program was organized to change the point of view of society towards these victim families. Two victim families at Pachurkha of Ghorahi Municipality-2 were felicitated.

Those honored individuals were Krishni Chaudhary,35 , wife of disappeared Briju Chaudhary, 60-year-old mother Jiuni Chaudhary, 65-year-old father Labaru Chaudhary, son Rajiv Chaudhary and daughter Parbati Chaudhary.

Similarly, 45-year-old mother Tulasa Chaudhary of disappeared Ram Kali Chaudhary of same municipality-3 and 55-year-old ram Prasad Chaudhary were felicitated.

Speaking at the program, families urged government to make public about their whereabouts. They further demanded government to provide education to their children.

Speaking at the program, Sudeep Gautam, chairperson of FNJ Dang said that it is shame on government not to take any initiation to find the whereabouts of disappeared people.

As per INSEC data in Dang 129 complaints were lodged at Local Peace Committee by the victims’ families of disappeared people.
