Election Commission Seeks Explanation from Candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party
The Election Commission has asked Dr. Swarnim Wagle, the candidate of the Rastriya Swatantra Party of Tanahun Constituency No. 1, for an explanation for spreading election propaganda during the silent period.
The District Election Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee, Tanahun, requested an explanation from Wagle on the evening of April 23, 2023.
Wagle shared the Facebook status of Ravi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, on the day of the election. The committee asked Wagle to go to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office within 24 hours to submit an explanation in this regard.
