Election Commission Asks Candidate Nepali Congress for Clarification
The Election Commission has asked Govind Bhattarai, candidate of Nepali Congress of Tanahun Constituency No. 1, for clarification on the accusation that he solicited votes during the silent period of the election.
The commission demanded an explanation from Bhattarai on April 23, 2023.
Bhattarai has received information that he has violated the code of conduct by soliciting votes through mobile voice messages during the silent period and has requested him to go to the office of the Chief Election Officer and submit an explanation within 24 hours.
