Eighty Percent preparations for polls completed
Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has urged all not to doubts about the local-level elections as the political parties are ready to participate in the elections and the Election Commission (CE) has completed most of the preparations for the May 14 polls according to RSS.
At a greetings exchange programme on the occasion of the New Year 2074 BS on Friday, the Chief Election Commissioner urged all to participate in the polls saying that the peace, stability and prosperity would prevail after the elections.
“We will proceed the election process on the basis of constitution and law. The EC is fully committed to fulfill the responsibility of holding elections that is the first step for the constitution’s implementation,” he added.
Saying that the tasks of printing and management of voters’ identity, voters’ name list and ballot boxes are being carried out at simultaneously, Yadav shared that 80 per cent preparations were over thanks to single aspirations of all.
Also speaking at the programme, Election Commissioner Ila Sharma expressed best wishes for more and more participation of women, Madheshi and youth in the polls.
Likewise, Election Commissioner Ishwari Prasad Poudel also wished for the inspiration for all for completing the responsibility of holding local levels polls.
Similarly, another lawmaker Sudhir Kumar Shah expressed the confidence that the New Year would offer inspiration and motivation to all for their participation in the polls which is going to be held for peace, prosperity and political stability in the country.
Likewise, the EC has said that nationwide vibes for local levels elections are being created.
Talking to media persons, EC Secretary Gopinath Mainali said that the voters and candidates are inquisitively waiting for the level polls with due attention.
