Eight Years of Imprisonment in the Charge of Rape
Nawalpur District Court rendered a verdict imprisoning Ajay Bhar, 19, of Nawalparasi (Bardhaghat Suusta West) for eight years in the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
Registrar of the district court, Mahendra Prasad Paudyal, informed that the bench of judge Yagya Prasad Acharya imprisoned Bhar for eight years on January 12.
Father of the victim filed a complaint at district police office, Nawalparasi East, on August 8, alleging that the accused killed his daughter after rape on August 6 at Binayitriveni Rural Municipality-6, Nawalparasi East.
Bhar was acquitted by the district court in the charge of homicide.
The victim was declared dead while she was being taken to the sahid memorial community hospital, Chaupatta for the treatment on August 6.
The accused absconded after the incident was late arrested from near his home on November 14, 2022. Based on the order from the court, the a custody was kept on custody for further investigation.
Postmortem of the deceased was conducted at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Rupandehi on August 8.
