Eight Complaints Filed Against Violation of Code of Conduct

Eight cases of violation of the code of conduct have been recorded in the district.

Although there is a provision in the Code of Conduct that elected people are not allowed to express their opinions in order to benefit the party, a complaint has been lodged with the District Election Office saying that the heads of Neelkanth Municipality, Thakre, Jwalamukhi, Tripurasundari Rural Municipality are promoting the election.

Likewise, Chief Election Officer Swikriti Parajuli said that a complaint was filed saying that the teachers are spreading election propaganda to influence people through social media.

As the election approaches, the people’s representatives have started to influence the election.

Addressing the all-party meeting held in Dhadingbesi, which was also attended by the candidates, Parajuli said that there were eight complaints of violation of the code of conduct.

Most of the complaints were about teachers spreading propaganda against the election code of conduct, public representatives doing activities to influence the election.

Independent candidates have made a verbal complaint in the all-party meeting that Thakre rural municipality has violated the code of conduct by issuing notices to negotiate various schemes for their party and candidate.
