Domestic Violence Accused Arrested
Muni Lal Sah and three of his family members have been arrested on May 23, 2021, in accusation of beating the daughter-in-law Soni Sah, 26 of Birgunj Metropolitan-14, Pipra.
According to Inspector Dinesh Gautam of Ward Police Office Shreepur, the other three arrested accused are Soni’s brothers-in-law Prabhakar Kumar Sah, 27, Diwakar Kumar Sah, 30 and her sister-in-law Anita Kumari.
The victim had lodged the complaint on the same day of the incident and her husband has absconded after the event.
Soni is originally from Areraj in East Champaran district of Bihar, India and was married to Anil Kumar Sah, 35, of Birgunj Metropolitan-14, Pipra on July 15, 2018.
According to Soni, she has been the victim of domestic violence since her marriage for not bringing sufficient dowry.
Soni has accused Prabhakar of hitting her on the head with an iron rod on May 22. Soni, who sustained head injuries, has returned home after receiving treatment at a local clinic.
