Domestic Killing Accused Arrested
Police have arrested Sheikh Narayan Mahato (49) of Bardibas municipality-14 on 21 July 2020 in accusation of killing his sister-in-law Lukhiya Devi Mahato (55).
According to the victim’s family, in a domestic dispute between both of them, Sheikh Narayan had beaten Lukhiya and she was severely injured. Lukhiya Devi was taken to Dhanusha hospital for treatment but she lost her life during the treatment.
During the initial investigation by the District Police Office, it was proven that she was beaten by her brother-in-law, informed DSP Prakash Bista. Further investigation is on-going regarding the case.
Post-mortem of the victim was conducted on 21 July 2020 at the Provincial Hospital of Janakpurdham.
