Demonstrators’ Vandalized Indian Number Plated Vehicles

Govinda Gautam, 25 of Punarbas Municipality-8, Kanchanpur, died after he sustained bullet fired by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near the border at Ananda Bazaar in Kanchanpur district. The strike called by CPN (Maoist Centre) has affected the regular life of people in the district and has demanded the government to probe into the incident and declare him a martyr.

Protestors entered in the premises of District Technical Office and vandalized furniture for defying the strike on March 10. Similarly, agitators on night of March 9 demonstrated around the Hotel in Mahendranagar, vandalized arsoned one Indian number plated car and three bikes. The educational institutions, shops, industry, financial institutions, public transport vehicles are closed due to strike affecting the regular life.

Govinda Gautam, 25 of Punarbas Municipality-8, Kanchanpur was killed in the clash when Indian Border Security Force (BSF) forcefully started to destroy the construction of the culvert over the river of Punarbas Municipality-8.
