Demonstration continues in western Region

The fifth day of the agitation in some of the district in western region continue regarding the constitution amendment proposal registered in Parliament.

According to INSEC district representative Reema BC of Rupendehi, various political parties including CPN UML, ML and Rastriya Janamorcha Nepal had demonstrated against the amendment proposal from the morning at various places of Butwal.

The” band” enforcer had demonstrated in various places of Bhairahawa including Anandaban, Khaireni, Saljhandi and Sainamaina.

The normal lives of people were affected by the strike. A long and short routed transportation were severely affected by the strike. Similarly, education and health sectors were affected.

The Band enforcer had however, allowed  ambulance, media and human rights vehicle. There was some incident of possible clash between agitator and police. The protesters had vandalized one Bolero Jeep with Reg. number Lu 1 Cha 7276 in Deepnagar of Butwal.

Police have arrested five demonstrator from Adarsha Nagar, Milanchok and Nepalgunj road.

According to Palpa representative Yagya Murti Timilsina, a normal lives of people were affected by the indefinite Palpa Band.

The active political parties and student organizations had organized demonstration by forming revolution group. Long and short routed transportation were affected by the band. SImilarly, education and health sectors were also severely affected by the band.

Bir Bahadur Rana of Nepali Congress accused government of deliberately attempting to divide hilly and Terai district. Dinesh Rawal of undivided Nepal Party said that demonstration and strike is necessary to show solidarity against division of country. The demonstrators had allowed the vehicles of health sector, human rights and ambulances.

Police said that there were no serious incident during the agitation. Chairman, Narayan Acharya of CPN UML said that comprehensive assembly has been scheduled for December 5 against the proposal of constitution amendment proposal.

According to Kapilvastu District representative  Nanda Ram Paudel,an  unsatisfied party had demonstrated in various part of the district against the proposal of dividing Hills and Terai region. The political sister organizations had burnt tires as a protest. Most of the industries, schools and health sectors were affected by the protest.

INSEC district representative Top Lal Aryal of Gulmi said that the normal lives of the people have been affected by the agitation since five days. A rally has been organized rounding the district headquarter. The demonstrators had burnt tires in the street as a protest. They were demanding against the division of province number five and warned government for further agitation if the proposal is not taken back.

They have been preparing for a huge assembly in Tamghas on December  5. The deployment committee have decided not to use any political flag during the agitation. The band has affected the normal lives of people however the education and health sectors do not have any effect of this agitation.

The security personnel have been deployed in the district for the safety reason according to SP Bhola Rawal of District Police Office.
