Demo Polling for Voter Education

Sample polling has been held in Dhading on May 7 for voter education of local level election.

The District Election Office, Dhading, has conducted a sample polling program for the practice of human resources to be deployed in the election.

According to the Election Office, Dhading, the sample voting was held linking it with the training of the staff to be deployed for the local level election to be held on May 13.

District Election Officer Ramesh Prasad Gyawali said that the polling officers and other staff would be informed about the process of successful polling.

Giving instructions to the staff to conduct the election, Gyawali urged the voters who come to the polling station with a voter ID card, citizenship or government documents to reveal their identity to cast their votes.

A sample polling station has been set up at the premises of the District Coordination Committee, Dhading.

Separate entrances were made to the sample polling station for women, men, the elderly and persons with disabilities.

Nepal Police and temporary police were deployed at the entrance for the security of the sample ballot box.

Apart from security personnel, 1,515 staff and 909 volunteers will be deployed in Dhading, according to the District Election Office.

Chief Election Officer Gyawali said that all the ballot papers for Dhading have already arrived and the staffs have been deployed at the polling stations after the training of the staffs.
