Demanded to take Action against the Accused for Alleging Being Witch
Police have arrested Prem Kumari Tharu,45 and Nirmala Tharu,20 on August 17 on charge of alleging Bel Kumari Tharu,40 of Dhadhawar VDC-9, Dafaiyak and her daughter Pabitra Kumari Chaudhary,18 of being witch.
The victims had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office of Rampur on August 17 against the accused demanding for justice and action against them. The victim said that she was alleged of being witch in previous occasion by the locals.
Six years ago Prem Kumari was released in an agreement after paying Rs 500 penalty when she accused her of being witch. The victim said that they were compelled to seek legal assistance after they could not get social justice.
Inspector Karna Bahadur Bam said that the case is registered and accused were arrested for investigation.
