Demanded To Action against Those Vandalizing FM Tower
The Federation of Nepal Journalists Association (FNJ) and concerned media hub of the district have demanded to take action against those involved in vandalizing Halesi FM radio tower and generator at Diktel of Khotang. The federation has demanded to take action while releasing a press statement on September 28.
An unidentified group of people have vandalized the tower and generator costing more than Rs 150,000 according to station manager Uttam Chaulagain.
Tecnician D.B Tamang of Tower said that an unidentified group of people smashed the glass, entered the station and vandelized while he was in Diktel Bazar to get petrol.
Police said that two generators, filter, fuel tank, wires and other physical properties were destroyed in an incident.
The statement released by FNJ Khotang condemned the incident and demanded to take action by identifying the guilt.
