Death in Sindhupalchowk Jail
53-year-old Krishna Nepali, of Melamchi Municipality-10, Shikharpur, serving his sentence in District Jail Sindhupalchowk, died of heart attack on 6 February.
Bhim Bahadur Basnet, Guard of the prison said that the deceased sentenced to 25 years in prison by the district court, suddenly fainted inside the prison and died while being taken to Chautara Hospital for treatment.
Jail inmate Bharat Dangal said that the Nepali may have died due to delay in treatment.
Bhim Bahadur Basnet informed that the deceased’s brother, Binod Nepali, took the body after postmortem at Chautara Hospital on February 7.
