Court Slams six years to rapist
The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence Manoj Nepali Sarki, 20 of Bijauri-4, Hemantapur for six years on charge of raping a 16 years old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Chura Man Khadka had given a verdict on December 2 regarding the case along with a compensation of Rs 20,000.
The victim’s family had lodged a complaint at Police post of Hemantapur on October 9 against the accused for raping a girl on October 8. Police had arrested the accused on a same day the complaint was lodged.
The victim underwent a health checkup at Rapti sub-regional office on October 9.
