Court Slams six years on charge of rape
The District Court of Nuwakot has ordered to sentence 26 years old Harka Gurung of Tarkeshwor Municipality-8, Lama Bagar for six years after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl. A single bench of District Court judge Rishikesh Wagle had given the verdict on April 17 regarding the case.
The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 100,000 to the victim. The victim was raped by the convict on December 20, 2016 in one hotel in Kakani and complaint was lodged at police office on December 20.
The victim underwent health checkup at Maternity hospital in Thapathali on December 26.
