Court slams six months to the accused on charge of alleging witchcraft
The District Court of Dang Deukhuri has ordered to sentence 31 years old Hari Chaudhary of Dhanauri-1 Chilhariya for six months on charge of beating Dibya Chaudhary, 65 of the same place alleging her of being witch. A single bench of District Court judge Balabhadra Bastola on November 17 has given a verdict regarding the case.
The victim had lodged a complaint at Area Police Office of Tulsipur on April 25 against the accused for assaulting her on April 20.
The victim sustained a fractured jaw in the incident. She underwent a medical treatment at Rapti zonal hospital and referred to Kathmandu.
The victim was sentenced for six months however he is at large according to DSP Prakash Raj Sharma of DPO Dang.
