Court Slams seven years to a rapist
The District Court of Makwanpur has ordered to sentence 36 years old Lal Bahadur Thing of Bakaiya Rural Municipality-7 for seven years after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl. The court has also given order for compensation of Rs 2,00,000 to the victim from the convict.
A single bench of district court judge Swikriti Parajuli has given a verdict on the case on November 12.
The court has also ordered to compensate victim through Women and Children Office as convict do not have any property to compensate the victim.
The victim’s party had lodged complaint against the accused at Hattisude Police Post on June 2 and was arrested on June 7. The victim underwent a health checkup at Hetauda Hospital on June 7.
