Court slams one year each on charge of Polygamy
The District Court of Siraha has ordered to sentence 21 years old Kamal Tamang of Bishnupurkatti-1 and 17 years old girl for one year each after finding guilty on polygamy. The court has also ordered for the penalty of Rs 15,000.
A single bench of district court judge Amrit Bahadur Basnet has given a verdict regarding the case on January 3.
A complaint against both of them were lodged by the first wife of an accused, Laxmi Tamang,19 on February 19 at Area Police Office of Lahan.
The accused were arrested by the police on February 20 by the police. They were released on bail amount of Rs 35,000 each on March 14.
