Court Slams life sentence on charge of infant killing
The District Court of Jajarkot has ordered to sentence 19 years old Sabita Pun of Nalagadh Municipality-1 for life on charge of killing newly born infant.
A single bench of District Court judge Dev Kumar Giri had given the verdict regarding the case on July 3 according to DSP Rabindra Bahadur Singh of DPO.
According to the police, the baby was born on May 9 having an explicit relationship by the woman. The body of a baby was wrapped in a bag and was thrown in a Bheri River. The accused was immediately arrested after the incident. The postmortem of the body was conducted at District Hospital of Jajarkot on May 9.
