Court slams five years to Rapist
The District Court of Siraha has ordered to sentence 35 years old Lagana Mallik of Lahan Municipality-12 for five years on May 22 after finding him guilty on raping 20 years old woman. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 15,000 from the convict.
A single bench of district court judge Rajendra Adhikari has given a verdict regarding the case.
The complaint against the accused was registered at Area Police Office of Lahan on 12 December 2016 on charge of raping a woman on December 4.
The victim underwent a health checkup at Ram Kumar Uma Memorial Hospital, Lahan on December 22.
