Court Slams five years on charge of rape
The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence 19 years old Deependra Dhanuk of Ghorahi sub-metropolis-15 for five years after finding him guilty on gang raping 18 years old woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Hemanta Rawal has given the verdict regarding the case. Other accused Raju Bhandary, 22 of Ghorahi Sub-metropolis-15 is at large and his case is pending.
The accused duo had gang raped the woman in 2017, January 16 and complaint against them was lodged at DPO Ghorahi on April 15. One of the accused was arrested on a same day. The victim underwent health checkup at Rapti Sub-regional Hospital on a same day the complaint was lodged.
