Court Slams five years for Rape accused
The District Court of Ilam has ordered to sentence 48 years old Shyam Niraula of Barbote VDC-4 for five years on charge of attempting to rape a nine years old girl. A single bench of District Court judge Nawa Raj Dahal gave a verdict regarding the case on November 10.
The accused had attempted to rape a girl on March 26, 2016 while she was alone in her house. The victim’s parents had lodged a complaint at District Police Office on March 27 against the accused. The accused was arrested by the police after the complaint was lodged against him and the case was registered at District Court. He was remanded in custody by the court order.
