Court Slams 22 years for a Rapist
The District Court of Dailekh has ordered to sentence a 37-years-old man for 22 years on charge of raping a 12-years-old girl.
A single bench of District Court judge Prakash Prasad Pandit has given a verdict on the case on July 4.
The court has also issued an order in the name of Women and Children Office of Dailekh to provide a compensation amount of Rs 100,000 to the victim. The court had also issued such order of compensation in previous cases after it was not possible to get compensation amount from the convict.
The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint at police office on November 9, 2015 . The accused was arrested and was presented in court by the police.
