Court slams 15 years on charge of rape
The district court of Myagdi has ordered to sentence Gore Pariyar, 35 alias Surya Darji of Raghuganga Rural Municipality-3, Piple for 15 years after finding him guilty on raping elderly woman with age 84.
The court has also ordered for Rs 50,000 compensation to the victim. A single bench of district court judge Raj Kumar Koirala had given the verdict regarding the case on May 13.
The victim was raped by an accused on February 22 and on a same day the complaint was lodged at police office by the victim’s family.
The victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Beni on February 23.
