Court Slams 12 years to a rape convict
The District Court of Jajarkot has ordered to sentence 43 years old man Jagat Bahadur Rana of Junichande Rural Municipality-7 for 12 years after finding him guilty on raping 71 years old elderly woman.
A single bench of District Court judge Dev Kumar Giri had given the verdict regarding the case. The court had also ordered for the penalty of Rs 20,000 from the convict.
A complaint against the accused was lodged at police office on January 4 by the victim’s family on charge of rape on December 21.
The accused was arrested by the police on January 7 and the victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Jajarkot on January 4.
