Court Sentenced Rape Accused For Five Years
The District Court of Makwanpur has ordered to sentence Ganesh Dawadi, 37 of Hetauda Sub-metropolis-8 for five years on charge of raping a 25-year-old woman with disability. The court has also ordered accused to compensate victim with Rs 100,000.
A single bench of district court judge Daya Ram Dhakal has given a verdict regarding the case on August 31. The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at police on March 3 accusing him of raping her on March 2. He was arrested by the police on March 7.
The District Court had remanded him in custody at Bhimfedi Prison on April 11 and victim had a health check up at Hetauda Hospital on March 7.
