Court Orders Twelve Years of Imprisonment to the Guilty of Rape
Maite BK, 38, of Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality-3 in Dhading has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for raping a 12-year-old girl.
A bench of Syangja District Court Judge Basanta Raj Poudel declared him guilty and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment and charged him NRs 50,000 compensation on June 16, informed Bishwaprasad Regmi.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Syangja. Police had arrested the accused from Pokhara on November 23, 2020, following a complaint lodged by the victim.
Police had registered a case against the accused in the District Court, Syangja on November 23, 2020.
