Court Orders Six Months’ Imprisonment to the Guilty of Sexual Abuse
The District Court of Jhapa has ordered the imprisonment of six months to Narabahadur Bhandari, 52 for sexually abusing a seven-year-old girl.
The bench of Judge Giriraj Gautam gave the verdict on March 15. The guilty has also been charged with NPR 15,000 compensation and NPR 15,000 fine, informed Information Officer Arjun Prasad Guragain.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Damak on December 21 accusing him of sexually abusing her December 19.
A case was registered against him in the district court on January 13.
The accused was remanded in custody for trial on the order of the district court on January 13. The health checkup of the victim was conducted on December 21.
