Court Orders One Year of Imprisonment to the Guilty of Rape
The district court has ordered a jail term of one year to 28-year-old Ratan Giri, also known as Dinesh for raping a 17-year-old girl. He was also fined NPR 10,000 and NPR 50,000 compensation for the victim.
The bench of district judge Krishna Prasad Nepal declared him guilty and gave the verdict, informed Shrestedar Suman Pandey.
The victim was raped by the accused on April 6, 2021, and the complaint was filed by the accused on April 7, 2021, at the District Police Office.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted on April 7, 2021, at Kapilbastu Hospital, Taulihawa.
