Court Orders Imprisonment of Eleven Years to the Guilty of Rape
The District Court of Chitwan has ordered jail term of eleven years to a 28-year-old man of Bharatpur Municipality for raping his 25-year-old relative.
A bench of Judge Avani Mainali gave the verdict. The victim had lodged a complaint against the guilty at the District Police Office on August 8, 2021 alleging that she had been raped on July 28, 2021.
Police had arrested him on January 8, 2022 and remanded him in custody for trial on the orders of the district court.
The victim was examined at Bharatpar Hospital on August 8.
