Court Orders 13 Years and Six Month’s Jail Sentence to the Guilty of Rape
Indra Adhikari, 69, of Madi Municipality-5 has been sentenced to 13 years and six months in jail for raping a 12-year-old girl.
Information Officer Ishwor Acharya said that the court has also ordered the guilty to provide compensation of NPR 200,000 to the victim.
A bench of District Judge Shakuntala Karki passed the verdict on March 4.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on July 4, 2021, alleging that she was raped on June 24, 2021.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted at Bharatpur Hospital on July 7.
