Court Orders 12 Years Imprisonment to the Guilty of Rape
District Court of Dhanusha has sentenced Rajkumar Sah, 36, of Kshireshwanath Municipality-5 to 12 years imprisonment for raping a 14-year-old girl on April 28, 2019. The verdict was given on September 12, 2022. Also, it has been decided to provide a compensation of NPR 500,000 to the victim girl from the relief fund of the state.
The final verdict of the incident was given during the 31st hearing.
The family of the victim filed a complaint at the local police office in Mahendranagar on April 28, 2019.
After the treatment of the victim was not possible at the Provincial Hospital Janakpur on April 28, 2019, she was treated for three months at the Patan Hospital in Lalitpur for further treatment.
Sah was arrested by the police on April 29 for investigation.
He was remanded to judicial custody after the order of the District Court on April 29.
After the incident, the victim’s family was displaced and they moved to Kathmandu.
