Court Declares 37 Years of Imprisonment to Rape Accused
Makwanpur District Court has sentenced a 42-year-old man to 37 years’ imprisonment for raping his 14-year-old daughter.
A single bench of Judge Sita Sharma Adhikari declared the 42-year-old father of being guilty and charged him with 12 years’ sentence for rape and life imprisonment for rape by a family member, said Tirtha Raj Bhattarai. According to the new act, life imprisonment is fixed at 25 years.
Neighbors had reported the incident to the police after they came to know about the incident.
Police had arrested the accused and filed a case in the court on April 12.
