In Kaski, 4,567 cases have been decided so far throughout the year. The total number of cases this year was 7,226, which includes 2,250 transferred cases and 4,976 newly registered cases. Last year, there were 6,364 cases, with 2,437 transferred and 3,927 newly registered cases.

Out of this year’s cases, 17 have exceeded two years of duration. Registrar Rudraprasad Aryal mentioned that the court is working to resolve the remaining cases quickly.

There were 1,049 more cases registered in Kaski this year compared to last year. Despite the increase in cases, the court’s designation has remained unchanged for the past decade.

Kaski has eight designated judge posts, but currently, only five judges are serving. Three benches are vacant due to judges being promoted to high court, and judges for the district court are yet to be appointed.

Registrar Aryal stated that there is not only a shortage of Kharidar (Non-Gazetted Second Class Permanent Officer) and Na. Su (Non-Gazetted First Class Officer) but also of bench officers. He also highlighted the challenges of working in a narrow and outdated building.
