Conflict Victims complaints of not getting relief
The conflict victims have complained that they are being deprived of getting relief because of not getting information on time. Conflict victim Goma Adhikari, 45 of Lamahi Municipality-1 complained of not getting relief from the District Administration Office because of not getting timely information. She was displaced by the former Maoist during the armed conflict.
This year more than sixty million worth relief amount for the armed conflict were freeze in Dang. According to the information gathered from the District Administration Office of Dang, in financial year 17/18 out of 130 million, 60 million were freeze.
The District Administration Office had publicly informed and distributed the relief to the conflict victims from June 28 to July 16.
The office said that the relief money was freeze after most of the conflict victims did not turned up during the relief distribution. “We had informed, but some of the conflict victims did not come”, said assistant chief District Officer Ganesh Acharya. He added that those who did not get the relief will be distributed in the next financial year.
